Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner Review: Does It Soothe Irritated Skin?

By Alyssa Martinez @ItsMariaAlyssa

My skin has become more sensitive these days due to wearing medical-grade face masks. So I try not to aggravate it more by keeping my skincare routine minimal. That is why it's so timely that Kbeauty Cafe sent me a couple of Round Lab products. I decided to post about them separately starting with this Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner review.

WHAT IS IT?

The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner is the no. 1 toner in Korea for 3 consecutive years (2017 to 2019). It claims to gently whisk away dead skin while delivering a boost of hydration and moisture. With a light texture and clean ingredients list, this toner is especially recommended for sensitive skin.

NOTABLE INGREDIENTS

It features the brand's patented HATCHING EX-07 to encourage the renewal of skin cells and help regulate sebum production. Panthenol, allantoin, and betaine work together to soothe, while the deep seawater used in the Dokdo line nourishes with 72 types of minerals (e.g., magnesium, calcium, zinc) to promote a healthy oil-moisture balance. PERFORMANCE

APPLICATION: Use after cleansing. Apply with hands or a cotton pad. Follow with the rest of your routine.

SCENT: It's unscented. I don't even smell a hint of masking fragrance.

FORMULA & TEXTURE: It's really watery and feels light on the skin. You can layer it as much as your skin needed and it will not feel tacky or heavy.

PACKAGING: It comes in a plastic bottle. Nothing fancy, just basic packaging as well. But the one I got was the duo, meaning it comes with the lotion. (I will review the lotion next time.)

MY EXPERINCE

I finally know why my fellow skincare influencer, Skin Dani is a huge fan of this product. I've seen her several posts raving about this toner. As I mentioned above, my skin is extra sensitive these days, and so I keep my skincare routine minimal. This Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Tone is very hydrating to the point it helps control my sebum production, calm my skin, and help get rid of my dead skin. Remember that hydrated skin is healthy skin.

You can even use this for toner masking if your skin needs an immediate boost of hydration and minerals.

But just because I speak highly of this product, remember that this is not a miracle worker. It's just a basic toner that effectively do its job. If you're expecting more like anti-aging, brightening, or anti-acne, then opt for chemical exfoliators or retinol instead. But this toner is safe to use with those products with such ingredients because it's basic, it will not interfere and will keep your skin balanced.
