Rodial Look.

By Maddy1704 @unstitchedd
Rodial Look.Rodial seems to be the brand of the summer, and since I love hopping on the end of a bandwagon, it was only a matter of time before I began to try some more of their products. They're on the pricey side for makeup, so a bit of saving may be needed but for a treat and some seriously luxurious packaging, I rank them really highly. Over the last couple of days I've been creating one particular look with the items and here's what it looks like...
I only wore this look to school, so wanted it to be pretty minimal and natural. Something you can throw on in about 5 minutes without having to think about, still look presentable and it to last all day. Especially in the summer, with the heat beginning, the last factor can be a bit of a tall order but I'm happy to report that the look filled all three quotas very nicely. After applying moisturiser, I corrected my underage circles and any blemishes and redness with the instaglam magic pen. A creamy and high coverage pencil concealer, this is so easy to use and then blend with the heat of your finger - it's become a new staple of mine.
To add a bit of a healthy glow, I followed up with the bronzer, which is nice and red based (as opposed to orange) to mimic a really lovely natural tan and give a tiny bit of a contour. And finally to set it all in, the Translucent Finishing powder, which is so fine you can't even tell it's there, still allowing a bit of glow to poke through, and really sets everything all down for the day ahead.
For the eyes, I wanted something light, bright and minimal, so I opted for my normal mascara (Benefit Roller Lash), a tiny bit of eyeliner (Yves Rocher Kohl Liner in Black) in the waterline, and a tiny bit of the bronzer on a fluffy brush to give the crease a tiny bit of depth. Finally, to tie everything together I used the lip butter in Psycho, which is a stunning peachy red, and dabbed a tiny bit of it on my cheeks as well, blending with a stippling brush to give a dewy flush.
Given the rave reviews of the brand I expected nothing less, but have to say that I'm really impressed and will definitely be investing in more of the collection soon. If you're looking to dip your toes into Rodial, you really can't go wrong with the lip butters, and for someone looking to get into natural makeup, there really isn't a better option out there.
What do you think of Rodial, have you tried it before?
