Rithm: A Music Messaging App

Posted on the 06 April 2015 by Anna Peterson

Rithm, a mobile music app, is here to make it easier for you to send musical messages, texts, emojis, and pictures to your friends. :)

Rithm Music App

The service has actually been around since 2013 (as a part of MavenSay, a lifestyle rec app), but it will relaunch this week as a legitimate music streaming service. Rithm counts seven million tracks in its catalogue, and you can choose any music clip and easily share it with your friends. Since it’s a freemium service, you can send 30-second clips, but there is a paid version ($3.99 per month), which offers more options and features. Aside from sending music clips, Rithm also lets you send music-related stickers, animated emojis, and artist emojis.

“This is a different type of [music streaming] service. Spotify has fully on-demand [songs] — anything, anytime. For us, it’s expanding the streaming market to consumers who want a messaging service,” CEO Mike Wagman tells Forbes.

The app is available only in the US and Canada at the moment, and you can download it for both iOS (v.7.0 and up) and Android (v.4.1 Jellybean and up). If you think it might be something for you, go check it out.
