As most of you have probably already heard, Ernesto Colón Sierra, known to us as Ernie Colón, passed away at his home on August 8, 2019. He died of cancer, and was 88 years old:
Mr. Colón worked for a number of different publishers, and within Harvey Comics, he worked on a number of different titles. I especially liked the way he portrayed my favorite character, Richie Rich. For those of you unfamiliar with his work, here is a great Richie Rich story from 1966, before Super Richie, and even before Bascomb:
I was really hoping to meet him some day, but that is impossible now. Rest in peace Ernie, and thank you for all that you brought to Harvey Comics.
