Ribbon Hearts Bracelet

By Invisiblestilettos
Good day my dear readers!  I was going sorting my small bead collection yesterday when I found these two pink hearts I had from an old bracelet mom gave me.  I thought why not make a new bracelet using these beads.  It would be perfect for Valentine's.  I got to work and tried different designs to make it.  I loved how the bracelet came out.  Simple, dainty, and girly.  Perfect!  Let me show you how I made this bracelet.Ribbon Hearts Bracelet
You will need the following:
1.  Two heart-shaped beads
2.  Spacer
3.  Fishing wire
6.  Long gold beads (16)
5.  Medium-sized round beads (11)
6.  Small-sized round beads (70)
*Note:  Amount of beads will vary depending on your wrist size.Ribbon Hearts Bracelet
Let's begin!  First, get your fishing wire and cut about 24 inches long or four times the size of your wrist size.  Then, insert two small round beads, one long bead, and two round small beads on one of the ends of your sring.  Place the beads in the middle of the string.Ribbon Hearts Bracelet
For this bracelet, we will use the two ends of the string to insert the beads, so, get one long bead then cross the right and the left end inside your bead by inserting the right end going to the left and the left end going to the right.  Got it?  Good!Ribbon Hearts BraceletPull the wires until your long bead meet the round beads and the long beads at the middle of the string.  Pull it tightly.Ribbon Hearts Bracelet Next, you will need two small beads for your right end and two small beads for the left end, insert then bring them at the middle of the string.Ribbon Hearts Bracelet Now, add one medium-sized bead to both strings. Ribbon Hearts BraceletAdd two more small beads on each string.  Your beads should look like this.  You are now forming an "X" design to mimic the shape of a bow tie.Ribbon Hearts BraceletAdd another long bead by crossing the two strings, then you are done with your first "ribbon."  Then, add another one long bead to start another one.  Repeat steps.  The sequence should be one crossed long bead, two small round beads on each string, one medium bead on both strings, another two small round beads on each string, then one crossed long bead.  This should make one ribbon.  Repeat this until you are happy with the length.

After making the ribbons, insert one medium bead on each string then add one small bead on each string.  Close by adding one medium bead on both strings then add the spacer on both strings.  Get your heart bead then insert it to both strings with the "3" shape facing the spacer.  Add one medium round bead on both strings then add the other pink heart now the ">" facing the medium round bead.  Add your spacer to both strings then another medium round on both strings, one small bead on each string, then one medium bead on each string, mirroring what you did on the other side.  Continue making your gold ribbons by repeating the steps until you are satisfied with the length.Ribbon Hearts Bracelet
Once done, make sure to tie a double knot to secure your beads.  You can also place clear nail polish so the knot will be secured.  Time to place your closure.  You can add silk or lace ribbons to tie your bracelet or for a quirky feel, secure your bracelet with a gold pin ;)Ribbon Hearts Bracelet
You are now done!  Stack it with your other bracelets for instant arm party.  Mixing textures will give your arm candies more interest.Ribbon Hearts Bracelet
Have fun guys! Till next time <3
