Revv It Up: Bigger Thinking = Better Results

By Linsibrownson @CleverSpark

So who did the Interview exercise?

I’m super excited about this series because, just from planning it I’m already way more focused and energized for next year.

But I want to know if it’s helping YOU – so I have an idea:  Each week I’m asking that you leave your feedback in the comments below.  Good, bad and otherwise.  For each comment you’ll get one entry into a drawing that I will do at the end of this 8 week series.

Winner gets a choice between:

OR

A 30 Minute mini brainstorm session on whatever you want to talk about (marketing, product or service ideas, troubleshooting, etc.) – with me.

Now that we got that out of the way, the next step is to determine where you want to go.

I want you to sit or lay down, take a few deeps breaths, and begin to imagine yourself 1 year in the future.

With this visualization, we’re going to assume that you have been kicking ass all year long – and have accomplished exactly what you wanted to.

The question is:

WHAT DO YOU WANT to accomplish in the next year?

Think as big as you possibly can – don’t limit yourself to what’s likely to happen or what “would be nice”…

Bigger Thinking = Better Results

I’m not the first to tell you this, I am simply reminding you.

Revv It Up: Bigger Thinking = Better Results

After a few minutes of blissful contemplation, make a bullet list of the key elements like

  • How much business you want (# clients or sales per month/year)
  • What your role in the company is
  • How many hours you want to work each week
  • How many people work for & with you

Did you break a sweat on that?

If not, maybe you need a little more of a challenge… say, a 5 Year Dream?  I’ve got just the thing.  It’s an ILWE worksheet – Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, Equity.  Download it here.

TIP: Don’t tell anyone about your dream just yet.  But DO keep it in your mind over the next few weeks.  Get comfortable with it – Let it sink in a bit and make sure it feels right.

Because next time we’ll start turning that dream into reality. Get the complete series delivered to your inbox!

Was that helpful?  Tell me your thoughts in the comments below!
