Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush

By Bbeautylove @bbeautylove

A fresh flush is always a good look and no more appropriate than during the first whiffs of Spring. Whilst the weather might not be quite there yet, my head is firmly in the Spring clouds and there is only one product I want brightening up my complexion this month…

The cream blushers from Revlon’s PhotoReady range are nothing short of delightful. I know I may be slightly late to the party on cream blush but as I have oily skin it can be tricky to find ones that last and that don’t aggravate my skin. Having been wooed and won over by the amazing Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge this year (see post), I turned my attention to the lower end of the beauty market in order to find alternatives and so far these from Revlon are the best I have tried.

I have the shades Pinched 100, a deliciously juicy peach shade and Flushed 200, a vibrant skin awakening fuchsia pink. The other colour in the range Coral Reef isn’t here as I think the red undertones would make me look like I have rug burn! However these two shades are all you need to cover all blush bases.

Both are easy to apply and buildable, so you can go for barely there or wowzers in terms of how strong you want your flush to be. They feel very light on the skin so don’t worry about them clogging your pores but they also aren’t drying so would work on most skin types. They are a cream to powder formulation as they melt in and blend very easily onto the skin like a cream but then set and dry much like a powder.

I have found that these last on me pretty much all day, even with oily skin, so I have no complaints in that department. They look very natural and fresh on the cheeks and even my Ma wears them so they look great on all ages.

I like the little pots they come in too and find that they apply best with a stippling brush as with fingers they go too patchy for my liking. All in all, I heart them and they are a great price and widely available. A super alternative to pricier versions out there.

Available from Boots and Superdrug. Priced £7.99.

Also apologies for the photos, I have had them a while no and had forgotten to photograph them before sticking my fingers in! Oops!
