Revlon Holiday 2012 Lip Glosses

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
I have actually had these for quite some time.  Apparently I was so underwhelmed by them that I forgot I had them.  They are not terrible by any means, but they are not my cup of tea.

Shades
I have two of the shades, Brilliant Bordeaux and Tinsel Town Hollywood.  There is also All That Glitters, which looks pretty similar to Tinsel Town Hollywood.

Brilliant Bordeaux is not really a bordeaux.  It looks more like a shimmery mauve on me.  I found it to be a strange color and it was not flattering when applied.
Tinsel Town Hollywood is a clear gloss with lots of shimmer and sparkle, which is great for the holidays.
Pigment, Texture and Staying Power
The pigment for Brilliant Bordeaux is nice.  It leans more on the sheer side, but it is easily built up.  Tinsel Town Hollywood is clear with shimmer, so pigment is not an issue.  The texture isn't great, but it is not bad.  It is a touch gritty.  I do like that this gloss is not thick, sticky and goopy.  This is not a moisturizing gloss, but it is not drying either.  The staying power is that of a typical gloss on me, which is around 3 hours.
Overall Impression
My feelings toward this lip gloss are, well, blah.  I didn't love nor did I hate it.  I think that they are very passable and are not something you need to try out.  Plus I found Brilliant Bordeaux to look odd on me, but Tinsel Town Hollywood would look nice layered over a lipstick.  These range from $7-$9 depending on where you get them.  I found them at Ulta.
