The haze is backkkk. Thanks Indonesia for your annual present of the haze that drives my sinus and sensitive nose over the top. Meh. Ah well, not much I can do about it, so I might as well just suck it up (well, not literally), but just live with it and hide out indoors as much as I can. Since there’s not much I can do in my girl-cave of beauty goodies except excavate for products, here’s what I’ve unknowingly buried in the last few months (and forgotten to review) heh.

Oops. Didn’t realize I’d swatched them in descending order. But ohwells – Shade 03 is a champagne-sheened highlighter, Shade 02 is a blusher and Shade 01 is a contour/sculptor.
On the face – Shade 03 (highlighter) on the nose bridge and cheekbones, Shade 02 (blusher) on the apples of the cheeks.
I say…
The Packaging: It comes in a very compact and convenient little pot that measures 4cm across and 4 cm tall. The cap is a twist-on one, while the product itself is what you see – it can’t be further extended (which raises the possibility of having to dig into the pot after you’ve used this for some time and the raised dome portion is worn down).
The Scent: A lovely fragrance with a rather strong honey scent emanates the moment you remove the cap. The best part is that if you apply 03 as a nose bridge highlighter, the scent keeps wafting down to your nostrils for a good 5-10 minutes after application. Me likey.
The Application: The instructions say to apply to your face (by holding the product) and then blending in with your fingers. I guess this works well when it’s still rather new and convex portion can still reach your face, but if you’ve used this for say 1-2 months, it’s gonna become a concave and I’m guessing you’ll have to use fingers or a sponge for proper application. I’m not fussed about this since I use fingers (clean ones!) for makeup application most of the time anyway.
The Texture: It’s really, really smooth and fine – it glides across your skin with a barely-there feeling. Since the color is relatively sheer (not intense, but not too translucent either), you’ll have to rely on the reflection/sheen to figure out if you’ve applied the product. That aside, it blends in very well and easily, and doesn’t sink into the potholes of the enlarged pores thankfully.
The Verdict: A rather funsy product for easy touch-ups on the go – the low-intensity pigments mean that even if you’re applying makeup in an unfamiliar toilet (with the dreaded yellow lighting!), you won’t risk over applying the product. It’s easily blended, doesn’t oxidise visibly and has a fine texture so it doesn’t mess up your existing makeup, and smells so good as well. A pity about the price tag though – at $34.90 per pot, it’s on the pricey side.
