Review: YSL Mousse Nettoyante Cleansing Foam

By Beautifulbuns

And it’s Friyay! Now the fact that it’s Friday alone should normally bring a light to my face, but these days, I’m noticing a subtle glow to the complexion, which I’m attributing to this new product I’ve introduced to my regime~

I say..

The Packaging: A tall, relatively slender tube with a twist-on cap.

The Scent: A wonderfully fragrant scent (which unfortunately triggers red flags for those with sensitive skin types).

The Texture: Unlike the usual cleansing foams that come is relatively “solid” cream forms (my previous Hanyul Artemesia cleanser), this is a watery-mushy mix – think gel-cream with a touch of melted marshmallow. Now I know it doesn’t conjure up the best images, but at least it doesn’t drip all over. It spreads over the skin sooo smoothly, and lathers up surprisingly quickly too. The face is left feeling sufficiently cleansed enough – there’s just that very, very slight tinge of skin tautness so that you know your skin is clean, and yet still feels hydrated and soft.

The Verdict: I LOVE THIS. I know it may not look like much (kinda like Barney even), but I’m guessing the ingredients go down well with my skin. I have not experienced any breakouts thus far, and I can see a visible difference in my skin tone – it’s brighter! It has that perfect after-wash sensation of being mostly hydrated and that slight touch of “tightness” to let me know that my skin has been rid of all them impurities. It lathers up so easily and feels comforting and luxurious when you’re massaging it all over your skin. Definitely one of my favorite facial cleansers at the moment😀 It’s just unfortunate that there’s quite a high level of fragrance in this, so I’m not too sure if those with sensitive skintypes can take to this.
