REVIEW: This Tennis Player is Switching Brands of Tennis Shoes – to the Wilson KAOS 3.0

By Jen Campbell @TennisLife_Mag

I received a pair of Wilson Kaos 3.0 tennis shoes from Wilson Tennis for the sole purpose of trying them out and giving an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I've been playing tennis for years wearing pretty much the same brand the whole time. I thought they were OK, but I'm brand loyal and stuck with them anyway. Oftentimes, my feet were a little on the sore side after a long match, but I just thought that's how tennis shoes were. I mean, why wouldn't feet feel worn out after playing tennis, right?

But then I played in the Wilson KAOS 3.0 tennis shoes, and I could tell which was the better shoe. I never thought I'd say it, but I'm switching brands to Wilson, more specifically, the Wilson KAOS 3.0 tennis shoe!

Design

When I opened the box, I fell in love with the color combo - Tropical Peach/ Cayenne/White. They go with so many of my outfits! The upper offers great protection for toe scrapers and draggers too. I know I do that sometimes, but there's no "evidence" on these shoes! They still look amazing! I just wish they came in a rainbow of colors - I'd get them all!

Fit

When I first tried them on, they were a little snug at first, but not uncomfortably so. And after I wore them a couple of times, they loosened up just right. Now, it's like they were made for my foot! My old brand of tennis shoes were the exact opposite. They fit fit perfectly at first, but then stretched out so much that even tightening the laces didn't keep my foot from sliding around inside.

Comfort

The Wilson KAOS 3.0 tennis shoes are so comfortable and they provide excellent comfort and support around the ankle, which is where we tennis players really need it. The lacing holds the foot in place snug and tight (as it should) and they're super comfortable and really lightweight. The midsole cushioning is absolutely spot on, even for a lightweight tennis shoe.

Performance

Aside from the light weight, the Wilson KAOS 3.0 has a more flexible sole than my old brand. My footwork was noticeably quicker moving side to side, and I was able to chase down lobs and rush the net with confidence - even my coach noticed! All that running around and my feet never got tired or felt tingly (and they weren't as sweaty 😆).

Multi-surface compatibility

Here in Florida, we have clay courts as well as hard courts, and I actually played on both surfaces wearing the Wilson KAOS 3.0 tennis shoes. I can honestly say that they were awesome on both surfaces! Go figure!

Overall

If you're an aggressive player like me who plays often and prefers a lightweight tennis shoe that offers mobility, support, durability, and style, then the Wilson KAOS 3.0 tennis shoe is the one for you! I've played in these for a little over a month, and I just love them! They are gorgeous, comfortable, and look great on, don't ya think? Even though I have 2 "negatives", they aren't negative enough for me to give it anything less than a 100 out of 100! The Wilson KAOS 3.0 is such an awesome shoe that I purchased another pair in the White/Niagara color combo to go with the rest of my tennis outfits!
