Review / Swatch: MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2 Lipstick and Lipglass

By Beautifulbuns

Now I may not be the biggest fan of Miley Cyrus (hold up now, before you work yourself into a tizzy, I’m not a hater either), but I do admit that she has her fair share of fans and outreach. And I also have to admit that MAC Viva Glam is a GREAT cause, with 100% of the proceeds going towards helping those suffering from HIV and AIDS, which is why I’m also going to purchase the new MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2 lipstick. MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 1 was a GORGEOUS pink (which I’m still using to this day), and v2 of it is slightly more reddish. Take a lot of the swatches below to check them out for yourself :)

The Lipstick is a coral-reddish tinge while the Lipglass is surprisingly rather pigmented with iridescent sparkles.

Just the Lipglass alone gives a nice rosy high-shine finish.

The Lipstick – I’m loving it! It may come across more orangey when swatched, but somehow, when combined with the natural lip colour, it gives a gorgeous rich pigmented red.

And a combination of both gives you a super high-shine, high-gloss and intensely red lippie colour!

The Verdict: As with most MAC lipsticks, this one also has a high pigmentation, a good level of moisture that helps cover up the fine lines in the lips as well as give drier lips a dose of hydration. The Lipglass is slightly on the sticky side, but it isn’t that uncomfortable – the high shine factor helps make up for it though. Great for nights out or at gala events – a combination of these two will give that perfect glamourous red lip!

Now note that 100% of the proceeds from the Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2 goes towards charity, so even though you may already have 100 lipsticks like I do,  I totally advocate going forth and getting one now :)
