Review: Soap & Glory Hot Cloth Cleanser

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
Hot cloth cleansers have been popular for quite some time now with the Liz Earle version being on many a beauty bloggers holy grail list. I used to use Liz Earle products a good 10 years ago when it was much more difficult to find ‘natural’ products than it is now. As much as I love the idea of the Liz Earle cleanser, it caused me to break out a lot and I have very oily, spot prone skin at the best of times.
I really enjoy the Liz Earle formula though so I’ve been on the search for a suitable replacement and I think I’ve found it in Soap and Glory’s Hot Cloth Cleanser.

Review: Soap & Glory Hot Cloth CleanserThis Soap and Glory version comes with a free muslin cloth. Personally I don’t like the idea of using a scratchy muslin on my face twice a day everyday, it’s too much exfoliation for me, so I’ve been using this cleanser with my trust Konjac Sponge instead.
Review: Soap & Glory Hot Cloth CleanserI love the smell of this cleanser. It contains sweet almond, orange and lavender oils making this a really lovely, soothing product to use. The consistency is slightly thicker than Liz Earle's cleanser and it just melts of all my make-up beautifully. This really is the product I have been hoping to find for years now!
Review: Soap & Glory Hot Cloth CleanserA 100ml tube of this retails for £10.00 and Soap & Glory is always on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots if you have a couple of other bits to pick up. A 100ml bottle of Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish will set you back £14.25, and you would have to pay and extra £4.00 to get 2 muslin cloths when you already get one free with the Soap and Glory cleanser. For me, there is just no contest. If you are currently using Liz Earle I urge you to consider Soap and Glory instead!
