Review of the Amarya Beauty Box July 2012

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
When the postman handed me my Amarya Beauty Box for July I was alarmed. It felt so light! Almost as if there was nothing in it! I had a sinking feeling that this month's box was not going to be a good one. How wrong I was!

Trial Size Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream by Ren (Full Size RRP £24.50)
I’m always happy to get a Ren product in my beauty box because they never disappoint. Ren products are pretty pricey and investing in a full sized product from them can be quite scary because if you don’t like it, you’ve wasted a lot of your hard earned cash! This is where the beauty box comes into its own. You can trial expensive products before committing!

Review of the Amarya Beauty Box July 2012This is a good sized trial product at 50ml. The cream itself is deliciously thick yet light. Very much like a soufflé! The rose smell is quite delicate. It’s pungent enough to scent the skin without being overpowering.Review of the Amarya Beauty Box July 2012
This product gives skin a nice healthy sheen and absorbs really quickly allowing you to dress immediately after application.
Trial Sized Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15 by Ren (Full Size RRP £26.00)
This product is nothing short of a revelation! With my many allergies I always use mineral sun cream over traditional formulas and they are without fail, smelly, thick and leave you with a white residue which makes my pale Scottish skin look even paler! Not good!

Review of the Amarya Beauty Box July 2012This SPF from Ren is so light and fluid and it smells lovely. This little trial size at 3ml will last me couple of application to my face and I will absolutely be buying the full sized product for my next holiday. In fact I’ll be surprised if I ever use any other sun cream ever again!

Trial Size Rejoice Light Facial Day Cream by Antipodes (Full Size RRP £25.99)This was the first time I’ve tried an Antipodes product so I was excited to receive it. This facial cream is thick and luxurious yet it absorbs into the skin instantly. it’s really quite amazing! It smells lightly of vanilla without being overpowering.

According to the packaging, this day cream has been clinically shown to stimulate synthesis of collagen production in human skin cells by up to 59%. I’m no dermatologist but I know that collagen is the holy grail of skin loveliness! I’ll be adding this product to my Amarya wish list!
Review of the Amarya Beauty Box July 2012Full Size Mineral Eyeshadow by Inika (RRP £11.75)I’m going to be totally honest here. I bought a concealer from Inika recently and I really didn’t like it. I’m pleased Amarya have sent me one of their eyeshadows though because it has restored my faith in the Inika brand!Review of the Amarya Beauty Box July 2012I received the Peach Fetish shade of this eyeshadow and I’m interested to see other bloggers reviews of the other colours. Peach Fetish, as the name suggests, is a warm orangey color which is richly pigmented and vibrant. It’s a very wearable color. It lasted all day on me and I have very oily eyelids. If you haven’t tried mineral eyeshadows yet then you have got  to get on it. I find that they out-pigment any standard formula eyeshadows I’ve tried. Review of the Amarya Beauty Box July 2012
You can use this Inika eyeshadow dry for a subtle look or wet for a more dramatic look. I’ve really liked this product and now have my eye on the Burnt Sienna and Forest Gold colourways!
What do you think of this months Amarya beauty box? Did anybody receive a different color of the Inika eyeshadow?Lisa x
