Review of Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronze Concentrate

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
Regular readers may have noticed that I’m having a bit of a love affair with Dr Hauschka at the moment (the products, not that actual doctor). If not, you can read my reviews of their Cleansing Milk, Facial Toner and Melissa Day Cream to get some background if you like.
I was asked recently if I would like to try their Translucent Bronze Concentrate, and of course I jumped at the chance! Translucent Bronze Concentrate* can be used in a number of ways. You can add a few drops to your moisturiser and apply  it to your face, acting as a tinted moisturiser. This gives me such a healthy, sun kissed glow and is perfect for those who hate heavy foundations. I’m not a huge fan of foundations which simply cover your face. It just makes me feel like I want to wash my face as soon as I’ve put it on! I personally much prefer the “my skin but better” look. My blemishes are softened and smoothed out, and my natural skin tone is still visible.

Review of Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronze ConcentrateTranslucent bronze concentrate can also be used as a temporary fake tan. You can apply it straight onto your skin, or you can add to a body moisturiser for a subtler look. In the photos below, I have applied it straight onto my skin, without diluting. It looks glow-y and lovely right? It looks scarily dark in the bottle but once you rub it on your skin it blends beautifully. Of course, mixing it with moisturiser also makes it fully customisable to your skin tone! I've only put one, quick layer on here but you could build it up to the darkness you require.
Review of Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronze ConcentrateHas anyone read anything recently about the links between some spray tans and skin cancer? If not, give it a Google. I was elated recently that I could stop using sunbeds (which I did VERY occasionally), because I had found a beauty salon which offers a spray tan which doesn’t cause my skin to have an allergic reaction, but then I read this cancer article and was back to square one! Now though, Dr Hauschka is offering an alternative to both options. Translucent Bronze Concentrate is a fake tan which doesn’t embed toxin into your skin, happy days!
