I’ve been traveling quite a lot in the last 3 weeks and I’ve come to realize that during trips, I am usually too tired by the end of the day to go through my usual 101-step beauty regime. The heart and mind are willing, but the bodeh is too old and worn out to take any action. hah. Thankfully, this is where cleansing tissues and sleeping packs para-sail in like commando troopers to save my face.

I say…
- First of all, isn’t the packaging ingenious? It’s space-saving, hygienic and extremely convenient for travel purposes.
- Open the sachet and mix up the components – essentially, the little blob contains 25% brightening ampoules (which I assume to be the white portion) and 75% hydrating-radiance ampoules (the transparent gel) for intensive brightening care.
- I’d advocate using a spatula or a clean toothpick if you’re really hard-pressed to find a beauty tool.
- Don’t use your fingers, cos 1) it’s obviously unhygienic, unless you’ve scrubbed as clean as a surgeon before surgery, and 2) the little concave space is barely enough for you to stick your finger in without having everything flow over.
- Avoid cotton buds too, cos the cotton fiber could fray and stray into the sleeping pack.
- One sachet is for a one-time use, although I find that there can be some leftovers. If you’re up to sharing the love with your room mate / at a pajama slumber party, it will suffice for two as well. Do not keep it in the fridge for next day usage cos portions of it will evaporate, leaving a more solidified gel-remnant.
- Recommended application: Apply to face and go snore (paraphrased by me hurhur). Wake up and rinse off with lukewarm water. Repeat process 2x a week. (similar to Sulwhasoo Overnight Revitalising Treatment and the ONL Midnight Regenerating Hydro Intense Sleeping Cream)
- After mixing up the two components thoroughly, you get a gel-cream texture that’s slightly on the heavier side.
- Upon application, it does feel slightly thick on the face, but I was pretty surprised to find that after some due massaging action (to encourage absorption into the skin), it actually disappears without a trace. I was expecting a sticky after-feel, but no ma’am, there was none of that. This means my face won’t stick to the pillow when I snore hohoho. (fine, so I’m a side sleeper).
- Like Sleeping Beauty, I awoke with a smile on my face the next day, cos I felt a distinct increase in skin hydration levels – it was smoother and firmer. It was also slightly more radiant, but nothing that’ll make a Prince Charming come charging towards me on a bull anytime.
- This has been a constant travel companion in the last 3 weeks, and thankfully, I haven’t seen any increase in white/blackheads, and it has kept my skin looking pretty decent.
At SGD42, it works out to be about SGD2.62 per sachet, which is a decent price for a face mask that works well, and does away with the hassle of having to wait. I say it’s time for you to buy and try too :D
