Review: Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick #OR210 Fresh Orange

By Herugliness
Hello!~ This is a review of the Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick in the shade #OR210 Fresh Orange, which was kindly sponsored to me by W2Beauty, a store specializing on Korean beauty products. The store was founded in 2013, so is still relatively new, but it offers the greatest selection of Korean beauty products I have ever seen, from all the known brands like Etude House, Skinfood or Missha to a lot of brands I did not even know about. W2Beauty ships worldwide, offers free shipping and is definitely worth checking out.The Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick is a product I have wanted to try out for a long time already. It comes in a cute pink packing with lots of hearts on it and the lipstick itself comes in a metallic pink container. The lipstick is surprisingly tiny, a lot smaller than the average lipstick, however, it contains 3.8g of product, which isn't less than most other lipsticks. The Etude House Princess Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips for example contain 3.4g only, but the packing is much bigger. This means you are getting an average amount of product, but provided in a smaller packing that takes up less space if you want to carry it with you.Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick #OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewThe Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick is available in 6 different shades. Don't confuse it with the Holika Holika Heartful Silky Lipstick, which comes in 8 shades. #OR210 Fresh Orange is a dashing bright orange and a shade that is a bit out of my usual color range. But since I have so many light pink and nude lipsticks already, I wanted to try something different.Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewHolika Holika claims that the Heartful Moisture Lipstick is a "lovely heart-shaped moisture and high color formation lipstick which is applied smootlyh and easily and melts on your lips". It also contains a "high moisture essential oil complex" consisting of sweet orange oil, grapefruit oil and olive oil and "protects lips from harsh environment exposure and provides them with full moisture."Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewHolika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewThe most amazing part about the look of this lipstick is clealy it's heart shape! I know that by now there are other brands that offer heart-shaped lipsticks, but the ones from Holika Holika were the first of this kind I ever saw. You are supposed to apply the upper part of the heart to your upper lip and the lower part of the heart to your lower lip. This tip doesn't work too well for me though, as the result looks pretty much the same no matter which part of the heart I use for any part of my lips, so I stick to my normal method of applying lipstick, which is applying lipstick on the middle of my lips with bold strikes and then use a lipstick pencil for the corner of my lips. I cannot really say that the heart shape makes applying the lipstick any easier, or any more difficult than other lipsticks, but it certainly looks cute.Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewHolika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewYou can already tell from the swatch below that OR210 Fresh Orange is having an amazingly strong pigmentation. From what I have seen and read in other bloggers' reviews the same goes for all lipsticks of this line.
Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewThe color looks just as vivid when applied on your lips. The texture of the Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick is very pleasant: It's creamy and moist and reminds me of my favorite Lavshuca lipsticks! I usually have very dry lips, which makes applying some lipsticks difficult, but I could apply this lipstick over my dry and chapped lips easily. It didn't accumulate in any creases and created a relatively smooth surface. The only area where it would not stick to too well, was the part where my lips touch. That's usually the area where lipstick starts to wear off the fastest, but in this case it would not stick well to it from the beginning. As you can see in the photos it is not really too noticeable unless you pay very close attention.
Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewHolika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick OR210 Fresh Orange ReviewThe Holika Holika Heartful Moisture Lipstick last fairly long, but of course has to be re-applied over the course of a day, especially after eating and drinking. It doesn't seem to last longer or shorter than other moisturizing lipsticks I have tried, which is good enough for me. What I like a lot is how it makes my lips feel well moisturized, while many other lipsticks usually add to the dryness of my lips, and that it doesn't have any significant scent or noticeable taste, because I hate lipsticks and glosses with taste I possibly cannot stand. The color is quite unusual for me, but I think it looks good and I enjoy wearing it.  Overall I am really satisfied with this product, can recommend it and am tempted to try out some other shades.
