On a recent trip to Stratford we discovered this new quaint little tea shop. The name struck me from the outset and inside it didn’t disappoint either. They really have played up to the 1940’s theme and you can properly lose yourself and find yourself back in wartime England. Even the staff are dressed up! Theres also a terrace for those sunny days, function room upstairs that can be booked for special occasions and a 1940’s sitting room that can be booked for 4 people for private use.

I loved the menu’s – replica ration books. They really have considered every detail. They do breakfast and lunches, have a great range of loose leaf teas, as well as scones, cake and afternoon tea.

We plumped for a cream tea each which included a fruit or plain scone with jam and cream and a pot of their signature Fourteas blend tea.

The tea was a delicious black tea and the scones were lovely and warm. The scones were moist and of a really decent size. I could have done with a little more cream though.

We loved the Tearoom and will defiantly pop back in next time we’re over near Stratford.

Do have any local tearooms you love?
