Review: Face of Australia Colour Max Eyeshadow Palette Gold Mine

By Kerker @sparklingker
For some strange reason when I go shopping for make up, I am always drawn to neutral colours. I think one of the reasons why I always end up with conservative colours so I can wear it to work to get the most value out of my money. When I saw Face of Australia Colour Max Eyeshadow Palette in Gold Mine* on their website - I wanted it! Each compact features 4 beautiful colours.
According to FOA "Soft, silky formula glides on effortlessly and lasts from day to night without fading or creasing."
Review: Face of Australia Colour Max Eyeshadow Palette Gold MineI love the 'how to' guide at the back of the palette, great for newbies like me who usually buys a palette but have no idea where to put what lolReview: Face of Australia Colour Max Eyeshadow Palette Gold Mine
Review: Face of Australia Colour Max Eyeshadow Palette Gold MineWhen swatching, I found 'a' was really hard to get the color on my arm because it's suppose to be a slight simmer on the eyelids. I just love 'd' its a really warm gold colour, applies like butter!Review: Face of Australia Colour Max Eyeshadow Palette Gold Mine
Application:
  • Can be applied wet or dry. I've always applied it on dry, feels weird having wet stuff on my eyes.

Additional info:
  • RRP $10.95
  • Available Big W, Priceline, Kmart or Online
  • Made in PRC
  • Not tested on animals

Pros:
  • Colours blend easily
  • Good color pigmentation
  • Love the packaging
  • Absolutely love the instructions on the back

Cons:
  • Applicator might be too small if you have fat fingers like me lol

Overall:
This is a really good quality product for its price. This eye shadow can last a few hours with no primer on (my eye lids get oily easily) and with primer it's about all day.To get around the applicator problem I just used my own eye brushes.
Have you tried this eyeshadow? What are your thoughts?
