Review: Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes

By Herugliness
Hello! ~ It's time for the review of another Etude House Sweet Recipe product, the Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes. I really enjoy reviewing products from this line, these products are just so much fun! The Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes is an eyeshadow pallet with 3 shades. Just like the other products from this line the packing is designed after sweets, in this case chocolate. Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes Review Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes Review Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes Review The supercute pink packing is made out of cardboard, not just the outer packing, but the actual product packing in which the eyeshadows are placed too. I still think that this doesn't give the product the most solid appearance, but love the look and feel of it. In this case I think the inner packing could have been made of plastic though without disturbing the appearance, but like this it really gives the impression of a real chocolate bar. What Etude House says about this product:
You're invited to the Sweet Cookie House with irresistible desserts and delicious colors.
Etude House
Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes
This matte and silky eye shadow comes in a variety of chocolate brown colors that naturally blend to express deep, dramatic eyes.
Direction: 1. Use Cacao 45% color as base color. 2. Graduate with Cacao 65% color. 3. Contour outer corner of eyes with Cacao 98% color to complete deem and dramatic chocolate eyes.
Tip: Depending on hair color, use each color alone or blend together.
Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes Review The 3 eyeshadow shades are called Cacao 45%, Cacao 65% and Cacao 98% and are all various shades of brown. They have, as Etude describes, a matte finish with absolutely no shimmer. I find matte eyeshadow rare to find, as usually every eyeshadow seems to contain at least a bit of shimmer, so this is a pleasant change among my possessions. The individual shades have pretty patterns from the various Etude House logos on them. Too bad they will disappear very soon. Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes Eyeshadow Review Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes Eyeshadow Review Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes Eyeshadow Swatches Review Usually I use a light cream shade for base up to my eyebrows, a dark brown shade to smudge with my eyeliner and a medium brown for the outer corners of my eyelid. Since the Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes doesn't provide a light shade, which I think is a pity because something like white chocolate would have fit into this palette really well, I used, at least for this review, the palette just as Etude House suggests. I am more a fan of natural eye makeup and not too fond of any kind of "dramatic" look, thus the eye makeup turned out slightly too dark for my personal liking, but not as much as to leave my comfort zone. I really do not think you can do much wrong with brown eyeshadow when you want to create a natural look. Review: Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Eyes The eyeshadow is really easy to work with, the individual colors blend in together easily and it doesn't crumble off or collect in the creases of my eyes, even without any kind of eyeshadow base. It is also really easy to wash off with just water! Can't say I had any complains about this product! The Etude House Sweet Recipe line, or at least all the products I tried from it so far, is really wonderful
