Review: Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk Lipstick #RD302

By Herugliness
Hello! ~ Today I will review something quite unusual for me, a bright red lipstick. I usually stick with soft pink and nude shades and overall a rather natural makeup. But somehow I got myself over-talked into taking part in a superhero-theme costume party and needed a red lipstick to go with my costume.  There aren't that many red lipsticks in the Eastern market as they seem to prefer pink shades too, so, after some search, I picked the Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk in the shade #RD302. The lipstick comes in a super-cute packing. It's rather simple, without any fancy decorations like for example the  Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips, but simple designs can be cute too, and the shimmering pastel pink color, as well as the cute ribbon make it really nice to look at. RD302 is the brightest and darkest red shade I could find. I have seen the shade's name being translated from Korean to English as either Fury Red, Rage Red, or even Angry Red and I think all names fit the color quite well as it is a very strong and daring red color.

Etude House describes this asa "Smooth textured lipstick" which "supplies vivid color and moist shine"and claims that a so-called "Relaxed Fitting Complex & Smooth Powder System makes smooth lips without cracks". My greatest fear was that the dark color would look so horrible on my lips, because they are always dry and chipped. If you use a lipstick of a shade similar to your natural lips you won't notice such smallc racks so easily, but I feared that, with this dashing color, every single crack would be visible. However, this was not the case at all! The lipstick has a super-smooth texture and I could apply it evenly on my lips without any color collecting in all the cracks on my lips, or, worse case scenario, the color not sticking in some parts where the skin peeled off at all. I have to admit that I did not quite expect this, so the lipstick surprised me a lot in a good way. I only have quite the problems applying it so it looks good, but that's just because I am not used to dark lipsticks and how you see every bumbler so easily. I was also impressed by how long the lipstick lasted for ours, even though I am sipping on glasses and bottles all day. The only thing it didn't surivive was a full-meal, but I would not expect that from any lipstick. It also didn't leave my lips feeling dry after wearing it for the whole day like for example the Etudes Miss Tangerine lipsticks do.

The Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk Lipstick is available in 24 differentcolors, so there is a shade for everyone's taste. I might get another shade sometime as I really like this lipstick, but don't think this daring red is something I will wear often But for now I should use up the army of lipsticks I already own.
