Review: Elisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream

By Herugliness
Hello! ~My quest for the the perfect BB Cream continues and so I am reviewing the Elisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream for you today. This BB Cream is available in 3 versions: Two "Two in One" versions, which come in a 50ml tube each and contains either a concealer or a highlighter in the cap, as well as a smaller 15ml tube without any concealer or highlighter. I bought the 15ml.Elisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream ReviewElisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream ReviewAccording to Elisha Coy this BB Cream creates a smooth skin texture by removing uneven skin shadow with diffused reflection of light. It is supposed to provide your skin with a silky and soft feel without any oil component. It contains various different fruit flower extracts that are supposed to hydrate and protect your skin. Having very troubled skin with lots of pimples and easily irritated skin, one of the things most important for me was that the  Elisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream was supposed to contain extracts that have a strong trouble care function and calm irritationsElisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream ReviewThis BB Cream is available in one shade only, which is pretty light, but just the perfect shade for my faces as my face tends to be lighter than the rest of my body.
Elisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream ReviewSadly this BB Cream didn't work too well for me. Both coverage and texture are medium, which is just right for me: The BB Cream doesn't cover all of your blemishes (if you have very blemished skin like I do), but therefore doesn't make your face appear like a mask of layers of makeup. The texture does not feel too thick, so you don't have the feeling of having tons of makeup on your face, at first.
However, what makes this product so disappointing is the oil control and wear. I have very oily skin and was hoping for a better result as this BB Cream doesn't have any oil component. After applying the BB Cream my skin looks fine at first, but that doesn't last for more than an hour. Then my skin turns into a really oily, greasy mess, much worse than it would without any kind of BB Cream through the day. I guess the "reflections of light" just don't work well in my favor.

Not only is it super shiny after such a short time, but it doesn't stay on anymore. As soon as I touch my face, the greasy mess will stick to my fingers instead of my face leaving my face looking not only extremely oily, but horribly blotchy. Even fixing it with powder doesn't seem to help. Even without touching it, the BB Cream seems to melt from my face revealing more and more blemishes with every hour.I guess that the Elisha Coy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream might work well on dry skin, but on very oily skin it is a catastrophe if you want to wear it for longer than about an hour.
