You know how in movies, the leading lady always licks her lips and gets the man? Me? I lick my lips and get some food or drinks shoved at me. Hah. Perhaps I just look that hungry most of the time.
That aside, I’m probably never gonna use that method to snare me a man. My lips aren’t a pretty sight because they are always so chapped, dry and peeling, so much that at times, the most moisturising of lipsticks aren’t enough to help salvage them. It’s such an injustice when a beautiful bright vibrant lip color sinks into the depths… of the fine lines, cracked and crevices of my lips. I must not waste beautiful lip colours. I. must. get. wet! (stahp being durty minded – I meant that I must moisturise!)

I say…
- The packaging is convenient – a capped fat pencil with twist-end so that you can retract the chubby stick after use.
- There’s no scent to the product.
- Now rather than having a specific colour, it’s said to “bloom” into color upon contact with your lips. Essentially it means that everyone who tries the same lip color will get a different shade. I guess it’s because most of us have different tones to our lips anyway. Actually, it’s more of a tint.
- Upon first application, there was some color culture shock when I saw how sheer the color was, but then I calmed my lip-maniac-self down and realised that this is more of a tinted lip balm rather than a lip color. Even their website says so.
- It does deliver a heaping of moisture – look at how my crappy lips now have a healthy sheen without any of the icky-looking flakes .
- It’s not sticky and not oily – but is instead, a lightweight sensation of well-moisturised lips.
- Flowering Freesia: The lilac tint isn’t particularly obvious, but it does have cool tone which makes it perfect for those with warm undertones. It gives a slightly baby-pastel-pink tint to my lips.
- Coming Up Rosy: This is my favorite of the two, simply cos there’s a brighter, more vibrant rosy cherry tint. It’s the type I’d slather on if I’m heading out for a couple of hours during the day and want a natural look .
Overall, I’d recommend this to those who are looking for a tinted lip balm, and have lips that are in dire need of moisture-salvation. Just a couple of coats is enough to restore it to a certain level of hydration that’s decent enough to face the world.
