Review: Brush Cleaner

By Prettyandtasty1 @prettyandtasty
I've recently got into a routine of using this Total immersion Brush cleaning tool to assist with cleaning my makeup brushes. I've previously seen beauty guru's use many different tools such as the Sigma Spa cleaning glove and Parian spirit canister. In general I would just use a brush shampoo and my hands! So, I thought I'll give this a try seeing as RED 7 (nail suppliers) kindly gifted this to me and it would work perfectly for my makeup brushes. The size of this cleaner is quite handy and can easily be stored in your bathroom cabinet! Once you remove the lid you would find that the inside rim is designed to hold various sizes of brushes; it's also a great addition to let your brushes drip dry. At rock bottom of the container there are ridges, which is the area you do cleaning motions to help clean out the dirt off the brush bristles.

I haven't tried any professional brush cleaners before so I can't hold a comparison, but at a fraction of the price of the professional brands, for £4.50 it would be really handy and affordable for people who have a small collection of brushes, beginners, and so. After trial-ling this for about a week, I had noticed that it wasn't really ideal for bigger brushes such as foundation brushes and powder brushes as these are usually really dense; but it had worked great with any small brushes such as eye shadow brushes, blending brushes, concealer brushes - you get the idea. A technique I found useful was that, after shampooing one of the bigger brushes & rinsing it with lukewarm water - clean it again in the brush cleaner holder with just water. I found this to be really effective as it deep cleanses off any extra excess that remains in the brush bristles. As, for the smaller brushes I would recommend shampooing & rinsing them in the holder as this works brilliantly getting out dark pigments in eye shadows etcLet me know what you guys use to clean your brushes? Hope you enjoyed reading :-) With Love, Angela xox
