Blushers are fun to play with – they can really change your overall outlook drastically, as evidenced very clearly last week when I attended the launch of the MAC x Chris Chang collection (and unfortunately wore a too-orange blusher that made me look washed out and yellowish). These days, I’m sticking to a safer route of pink blushers, and here’s one I recently bought when I was in Korea😀
Beyond x Alice in Wonderland Alice in Glow Lip & Cheek
I say…
The Packaging: A small little pot with a click-open top – there’s not much to describe here cos it’s just one of those little pots you open. There are no inbuilt mirrors/included puffs etc.
The Scent: Not much discernible scents.
The Texture/Application: A very smooth, creamy blusher that is slightly more on the watery side. It sets into a rather powdery finish, but there’s still an obvious dewiness to it. The pigmentation is a medium level, and is easily blendable/buildable for a more intense color finish. 1-2 coats should do it for an everyday wearable color.
The Verdict: This tiny little pot of color is pretty decent in terms of performance – the color isn’t too faint, is easily blendable for makeup junkies of all skill levels, and lasts pretty long (I’m counting 4 hours and I’ve still got a pinkish rosy flush on my cheeks). What’s more, it’s pretty affordable (I think it was just 5-6,000+ won) – although this is a limited edition version, I’m hopeful that Beyond sells this in a normal casing as a regular product. So far, I’ve been pretty impressed with Beyond’s products – their Snow BB cushion isn’t that bad either.
