Review: Argan Oil 'The Gold of Morocco' Review: Argan Oil 'The Gold of Morocco'
I had heard a significant amount of praise for Moroccan Argan oil for hair as well as skin and I wanted to test it out for myself. I have used this oil for over two months now and I felt that was a good amount of time to warrant a review. There is nothing that I find more annoying in a 'review' than when the person giving the review has only used the product for a week or less.
Description: Organic Argan Oil from Morocco is beneficial for all skin types due to its rich fatty acid content. Organic Argan Oil is a multi-functional product. It adds shine to your hair and provides moisture for your skin, hair, scalp and nail cuticles. It also aids in the repair of damaged and irritated skin. Because it's easily-absorbed, Organic Argan Oil helps to maintain a healthy skin pH balance as well. iherb.com
Price: Initially I was planning on getting the Josie Maran Argan oil as that was one I'd heard the most about but with it's price tag of $48.00 for only 1.7 fl oz./50ml worth of product, I decided I should shop around. Since it's only ingredient is organic Argan oil I decided to see what Iherb had to offer since they specialize in natural and organic products at much more reasonable prices. Iherb didn't disappoint, I found this Now Solutions 100% pure and organic Argan oil for....only $12.22! And you get 2 fl oz./59ml worth of product. Really can't beat that bargain. How I Use It
Skin: I like to add a drop or two of this into my moisturizer. It actually absorbs quickly into the skin rather than sit on top of it like other oils can. I find it moisturizing and that it gives a hydrated glowy finish. When I say glowy it's not to be confused with shine, I just mean it makes the skin look really fresh and bright. I still prefer a heavier oil at night.
Hair:  I love this on my hair. I put 3-4 drops into my palm rub them together and distribute it all over my hair (about 1-2 from the root the the ends) after it's straightened and it's gives shine, softness, and eliminates any fly aways.
