Review and Swatches of the Milani Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection in Earthy Elements

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
I went in a local Walgreens a few weeks ago and I was greeted by a ton of new products. But I was drawn to these Milani palettes like a moth to a flame. I love my eyeshadows, especially warm toned ones. When it comes to drugstore eyeshadows, I am always a skeptic. However, this particular palette is one of the best drugstore eyeshadow palettes I have ever used. First, lets discuss the shades in Earthy Elements.

This is without any primer, guys. Amazing, right?

This kind of palette is perfect for everyday use. You can use all of the shades for a more bold look, or pick and choose shades for something more soft. I like using all of the shades, but my favorite combination is using the lid shade, contour shade, and base shade paired with brown winged liner. It makes my blue eyes pop.
Unlike a lot of drugstore eyeshadows, these have nice color payoff. I still cannot get over how pigmented they are WITHOUT primer. It is amazing. The texture is soft, but there is some density. I find that makes them easier to work with and as a result, I haven't experienced any fall out or powder being kicked up in the palette. The only shade that feels a little chunky is the base shade. The mattes are impressive and are some of the best drugstore products I have tried. They are soft, smooth, and there isn't a hint of dryness or chalkiness.
I haven't had any issues with creasing or fading, either. I always wear primer under my shadow, but I think that they would even perform well without it. The packaging isn't anything fancy. The top is clear and it is made out of thick plastic. I don't see it being travel friendly, though. I think you would have to be careful with it and make sure nothing heavy falls on top of it. Milani also included a quick how-to on the back of the palette, as well as a small dual ended brush. The brush isn't anything to brag about, but these kind of brushes never are.
These palettes are around $10 and I have seen them at CVS and Walgreens.

Next time you are at the drugstore, you need to pick up this palette. I also have the plum one and I plan on getting the others. I love them.
