Reverse Washing, Does it Really Work? || Blogtober Day 9So this is a recent "trend" (is that the right word??) that I really wanted to try out. I don't tend to condition my hair every wash as I have quite short hair and I don't want it to look greasy. But in this I got quite dry hair. So this seemed like the answer to all my problems.
Essentially it gives you volume without the need for other, more expensive, products. You can use what ever shampoo and conditioner you want no matter how much and it should have some effect.
I really do think that it works. You get out the shower with your hair feeling soft yet clean. It doesn't feel as soft as it usually would after a condition but it doesn't feel exceptionally dry or anything. Overall I would really recommend this strategy if you are looking to add a bit more volume but don't want to spend loads of money on new products. Another tip if you want to add more volume is to dry your hair upside down. This works great with reverse washing as your hair has a bit more grip so will keep hold of the added volume easier.
Have you reverse washed before?
