About a month ago I was kind of gushing about this relatively new fitness center in Eastwood. Since I was curious to know how the "three times per week" workout gig was going to pan out, I wanted to check how my body would fare despite the food in abundance during December! Just to see if the Curves workout does work, I decided to get "before" and "after" photos. And who doesn't want to see some progress, anyway, right?

So I'll let you guys in on a secret: I'm slightly overweight. What a shocker, right? But this handy BMI Calculator for Asians says I've already gone beyond the land of the healthy weight and I'm slowly getting into the heart of overweight city! I'm not going to reveal my real weight here, but let's just say my new goal in life is to lose about 12 pounds of fat and maintain a healthy 22 BMI.

This should serve as my inspiration in 2014. Image from imgur.com.

So there are some noticeable differences, judging from my before and after photos. To be fair, I did spend a lot of walking before and after working out at Curves Eastwood, and drank more than 2 liters of water every time I had to work out. I plan on monitoring my diet this year to lose fat. Anyway I've listed down all the great things I've personally noticed from working out at Curves Eastwood:

1. I've become slightly more optimistic. I like that the trainers are so upbeat and polite. They create a warm and inviting atmosphere every time I work out. 2. I've lost an inch around my waist and hips. This says a lot! Having spent more than three years on a sedentary lifestyle, I found it extremely difficult to avoid buying new pants. At least now I get to save a bit of money! 3. I've improved my endurance. I can now walk with longer strides for longer periods of time.

Huzzah! Curves seems like a great place to increase metabolism naturally!
