Research a Vital Component of Upgrading to Digital X-rays

Posted on the 07 July 2012 by Jon Baucom @SidekickMag

Sticker shock often stops dentists from purchasing new dental technology, such as digital X-ray machines, that could actually, in the long run, save them money and improve the services they offer patients. As Pride Institute president Lou Shuman notes, though, dentists could avoid such short-sighted and costly decisions by researching how much their current X-ray technology costs (such as film, processor chemicals and a quarterly disposal fee) and then inputting the number of X-rays taken per day into the DEXIS online calculator to figure out how much these X-rays (and the technology needed to develop them) would cost if taken digitally. Dentists are likely to find out upgrading to digital X-rays is an investment that will pay for itself.
