I’m pleased to announce that renowned Neapolitan tailor Renato Ciardi will be doing a US tour this year, starting in the first week of October. Ciardi, as you may know, trained under Angelo Blasi, arguably one of the most legendary tailors in Naples’ history. Though Blasi was known for making a structured, British-influenced coat with narrow, padded shoulders, Ciardi went on to make softly tailored, light jackets like the one you see above. The tour will take place mostly in California and Sartoria Ciardi will make three to four visits within a three-month period. Vincenzo Ciardi (Renato’s son) and his team will be measuring and fitting all US clients, while he and his father will do all the cutting. This is a rather special opportunity for those who aren’t able to regularly travel to Naples, as not that many Neapolitan tailors do tours in California, let alone those as renowned as Ciardi.
Slots are limited to thirty clients, and prices start at $6,700 per suit and $5,400 per sport jacket. CMT is unfortunately not available.
