Relieve Dry Air Discomfort with #Honeywell
Winter months bring happiness to my eyes except for the bothersome dry air in my home. Since we have propane as our source for heating, my winter is generally filled with lubing up with more moisturizing lotion and a decongestant to relieve my sinuses.
Last year we purchased a Bionaire Whole House humidifier at Lowes. Although it is quite bulky and can be loud when running on high, it has added some relief to the dryness. I repeat, some.
A New Addition to Our Family
Over the summer, we added to our family. Zue, a 7-year-old pit bull/box mix, joined our happy family. Titan, my furson, was ecstatic about finally getting a sister. The hubs and I were also happy that we were able to bring this twice rejected senior pibble girl into our home, although she has issues.
One of her issues I noticed when it started getting cooler. I turned on our heater and noticed she was getting flakey skin. Apparently, along with her food allergies and environmental allergies, the dry air doesn’t agree with her.
I’ve added olive oil to her diet along with running a cool air humidifier and it seems to be helping.

I was tickled pink to learn that I was chosen for the Honeywell Console Humidifier VoxBox via Influenster! Knowing how horrible winters can be in my home, I was anxious to try out this Cool Moisture Humidifier from Honeywell and compare to my Bionaire. The results are awesome!
Features
One of the first things I noticed was its size. It’s smaller than the one we have. There are many differences between the two that I won’t go into because I want to promote this fabulous humidifier from Honeywell.
As all Honeywell products, the boxes are very informative. When I turned the box around, I explained exactly how set up the humidifier, fill the tanks, and get started with some Coolness!
The Pros
- Has 2 – 1.5-gallon water tanks (one on each side as pictured above).
- The air filter is very easy to get to which helps in replacement purposes.
- It’s light-weight
- Easy to fill the tanks. You can either carry the tanks to your sink OR leave the tanks on the humidifier and fill by pitchers of water! (An option my Bionaire does not have.)
- Indicator lights for Water and Humidity Level reached are easily displayed.
- 3-speed settings
- Low noise. This I was very pleased with because even when it was on HIGH, the noise was relatively quite.
- Available in White or Black.
- Works very well at adding moisture into the air.
Cons
- I missed having a digital humidistat. However, one can be purchased separately on Amazon.
- Refilling the tanks more frequently. Tanks last approximately 24 hours on low.
- Top of tanks does not secure tightly so when carrying tanks, water may overflow.
Benefits of Using a Humidifier
- Adds moisture to the air.
- Aids in relieving sinus congestion and cough.
- Reduces static electricity.
- Can help reduce dry skin caused my dry air.
- Aids in a better night sleep.
- Can even protect furniture from drying out.
Overall Review
I would highly recommend the Honeywell Console Cool Moisture Humidifier to my friends and family. It is not only economical, a space-saver, and quiet, it really does work. I’d definitely give it 5 thumbs up!
