REESE RAVES – March 2014

This month went by so quickly, it’s crazy! But you know what the say, Time flies when you’re having fun!

REESE RAVES – March 2014
VO5 Smoothly Does It, $6.99 (74g can)
This product has been my saving grace this month. Although I don’t have severe frizz problems, I do have problems with fly-aways and without having to put something has harsh as hairspray, I’ve discovered that helps with taming fly-aways like nobody’s business! It also gives your hair super shine when you’re having a dull hair day and it’s really light on the hair so you don’t feel like it’s weighing it down.

First Aid Beauty Gentle Body Wash, $16.95 (226.8g bottle)
Not only have I been a fan of this body wash this month, my man has been using it too, and we both love it. I love that it’s unscented, very light on the skin and lathers really well, as well as it’s not too soapy. It also isn’t drying when you get out of the shower, so it’s great for all seasons.

TOPSHOP Matte Lipstick in ‘Brighton Rock’, $16.00
I’ve been loving watermelon shades of lipstick and this particular lippy has been my go-to shade of the month. It’s a warmer tone of pink, which is perfect for daytime makeup. It also leaves a good stain on your lips, if you’re not into the bold lip.

OPI nailpolish in ‘Hey Baby’ and ‘In True Stefani Fashion, $19.95 (each)
Everyone knows how much I LOVE Gwen Stefani. I’ve been obsessed with her since I was in my early-teens. When I heard she was teaming up with OPI I vowed to buy every single shade in her collection, and true to my word, I did just that. Although I love her entire collection, this month I’ve been loving her shades ‘Hey Baby’ and ‘In True Stefani Fashion’. The pink is creamy and you can get away with only one coat and the silver glitter is just amazing on an accent nail.

L’Occitane Pure Shea Butter, $12.00 (8mL)
Thanks to Mumma Atomic, she bought two of these for me, knowing all too well of my lip balm obsession. Although it doesn’t actually say it’s for lips, I’ve been using them on my lips just before bed. It’s just like heaven on the lips and by the morning my lips are silky smooth and ready for the onslaught of whatever lippy I’m going to sport during the day.

EOS Cucumber hand cream, $6.95* (44mL)
This has been my most reached and most loved hand cream. I love that it smells fresh, without being too overpowering or sweet. It’s very light on the skin and non-greasy or sticky. I don’t know how I feel about the packaging, but I think it’s well-known that EOS doesn’t do ordinary.
* – Paid in Australian dollars. Shipping not included.

Essence Lash Mania Reloaded mascara, $4.95
This is my new holy grail mascara and I can’t believe it’s less than $5! It’s a pretty wet formula, but the length this mascara gives me beats Benefit’s They’re Real by a million! I’m pretty lucky that I don’t have the typical straight Asian eyelashes (thanks to my European roots), so when I apply this it looks like I’m wearing falsies and I have been asked many times if I’m wearing them. So, if you prefer length over volume lashes, try this out. It’ll be the most amazing $5 you’ll ever spend.
