Recognize #11

Sometimes we fall unconscious wherever we’re playing.

Are we seeking consciousness? No, for conscious is not it. You are conscious yet at times you are unconscious. If consciousness were the Absolute it would be unlimited. But we seem to be caught up in playing aware or unaware, that is we behold the world or not.

What we are after is the awareness that is aware of consciousness. That means there is awareness whether there is waking, sleeping, anesthesia, or amnesia.

Consciousness is always of some thing. You are conscious of the world, your body, your senses, and your mind. From this you fabricate an ego-self based on what you take to be you and what is not you.

Awareness on the other hand is aware of no-thing. It simply is. What appears to be something depends on Awareness for its being. Although Awareness is not dependent upon any thing which arises. Yet awareness in a sense witnesses what arises, but it is not a witness-er.

Consciousness is a first relativity. It is the reflection in form of the Awareness which lies beyond form or formlessness. In religion we would say Christ is the express image of the Father. Christ is the form, the reflection, of the formless God.

“I Am” is the sense of existence, the sense of consciousness. “I Am” is every-thing, and no thing. What witnesses consciousness? Far back behind thoughts of conscious or unconscious what is ever-aware of these arisings?

Awareness is beyond consciousness or unconsciousness. Consciousness manifests.

Recognize that you are beingness and knowingness – the “I Amness” of consciousness, a first reflection. You appear to be the reflection of the Aware Intelligence which is beyond even the pure conception of being or knowing.

The sense of “I am” is always pointing to your true nature. You exist, but you are prior to existence.

You are often conscious, but you are not always conscious that you are Awareness. Re-cognize, re-member, allow many to be One.

You are and only ever were…Awareness.
