Happy Australia Day peeps! Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend. My weekend was jam-packed with activities and I’m just spending my Monday night resting and getting ready for work tomorrow. Today I wanted to share with you my recent bargain buys. Ever since having a mortgage (aka married to the bank), I have been ultra thrifty when it comes to shopping. I would ask myself ‘do I really need this?’. Most of the time, the answer is no but there are times when the bargain is too good to pass. Like for example last week, I scored some really awesome stuff at incredible prices.
I snagged three floral headbands for $10 or in thriftier terms $3.33 each at Lovisa. I think they were originally $20ish each…I wouldn’t buy them at full price because I’m too old for flower headbands but I do love using these as props on my instagram photos. Flowers have this magical effect where they can instantly prettify a photo. I didn’t even know prettify was an actual word until I googled it.
These are my new makeup brush holders from Ikea and it’s PINK!!! I have only ever seen these in white so when I was at Ikea the other day, I quickly grabbed two without even thinking. It’s not a bargain buy but pink items are too hard to resist. If you are interested, I got them from the Springvale Ikea for $2.99 each. They are available at the gardening section.
I picked up both these Ben Sherman dresses for $39.95 each at Trade Secret. They were originally $159.95 and $249.95 respectively. How amazing are these?? Both dresses are turquoise which is such a beautiful color. Before buying these dresses, I didn’t own a single piece of clothing that was turquoise.
