By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

Designer mogul Ralph Lauren, famous not only in the fashion world but for home furnishings, as well, recently revealed to the public his exquisite Classic Car Collection and the artistry behind many of the models in the collection.

An eclectic mix of vintage sports cars from all over the world, Ralph Lauren’s collection includes over 70 pieces, all stored in a temperature-controlled garage near Long Island, New York—when they’re not touring the country, that is.

Ranging from the early days of Farrari and Bugatti, to 1930s era classic American sports cars, Ralph Lauren’s true passion shines through his collection.

Following are some photos of his collection:

This 1929 4 1/2 Litre ‘Birkin’ Bentley is Raulph Lauren’s favorite in the collection. In response to why, in an interview with Road & Track, he simply replied ‘Because I’m British.’

This car was taken with other hand-selected machines from Ralph Lauren’s collection on tour, circumnavigating the globe in a number of shows, the most famous being the ‘Masterpieces from the Ralph Lauren Collection at Les Arts Decoratifs Museum in Paris’ in 2011.

These are Ralph Lauren’s prestigious Jaguars lined up in their old home, a sectional garage on his property in Long Island. One reviewer of the collection wrote: “I loved the Jaguars: they made the XKD to race; it has a graceful rear with a surprising fin! It was the most successful racing car of its generation. It became so successful (three consecutive victories in Le Mans 24 hour race) that Jaguar made a road version a few years later: the beautiful XKSS.” (Both part of the collection)

A man that gave light to the ‘Polo Shirt’ and an endless collection of business casual attire, who gave men the ability to express themselves fashionably, has incredible taste in clothing, cars, and design.
