With Web sites galore, shopping is easy, fast without pushy salespeople. I am not in the high roller group and only buy semi precious stones. I like buying it from online auction at the comfort of my hiding place. Some tips if you want to buy from online auctions :
- - Read buyer and seller feedback. Go as deep as you wish about the buyers and the sellers information. - - Read the comments and view the timeline to find out if the member has been a regular participant or not. - - Try cheaper item for a start and never get emotionally attached to the item – remember that more goodies are available at the next auction or at other place.

- The bidding procedure will depend on the site and the auction format chosen by the seller. It is important to bear in mind that bids are legally binding and cannot be retracted. If you are a winning bidder, an email will be on the way providing the necessary information to complete the transaction and confirm delivery/shipping arrangements.
The online and offline auctions always good place to know about value and prices of items you like. I have collected some stones I purchased from online auctions and in the process of choosing the designs. It will never a waste of money - if I decided that I do not wish to keep them - I will contact one of many auction houses - to sell my items.
