Product Spotlight 5

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
It has been awhile since I have done one of these posts, so I figured it was time for one. I have more to add, but I like to keep these lists to five or six products so the will not be too lengthy. I am planning on doing a spotlight post on all of my favorite skincare products, so be on the look out for that. I am currently working on it so I will not forget anything. I hope everyone is having a good new year so far and sticking with their resolutions(if you made any). So far I am doing well in that category, but that may change once classes start on Monday.
Enjoy your weekend!
1.) Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer: First of all, Dr. Perricone is a genius. I have read one of his books and is take on skin care is innovative, and works. This moisturizer is a favorite of my mom and I. It is very moisturizing but does not leave skin feeling greasy.  And it is a moisturizer and treatment in once as it contains Perricone's famous ingredient, DMAE. Which I am doing more research on so I know exactly what it is.
2.) Clarisonic Mia: the sensitive brush head is ideal. My skin feels cleaner and so much smoother. It removes so much more makeup and dirt than the traditional method. This is an investment, but is very well worth it.
3.) Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Shadows: Great pigment, easy to blend and long lasting. My favorite shade is Bad to the Bronze; great for blue eyes. My full review is here. One of my favorite inexpensive products.
4.) Slatkin&Co Fresh Lemon Candle: I know this is not beauty related, but it does help me relax. I love light, citrus scents and this candle fits that perfectly. You can actually smell it but it is not overwhelming. Citrus scents are great for concentrating and relaxing. I found these at Bath and Body Works. Sometimes you can find the smaller candles on sale and they also have tea candles that are usually around $2.
5.) Benefit's The Big 10 Kit: I love everything in this kit! The primers are wonderful as are the boxed powders. It is a great way to try Benefit's products if you are new and want to give their products a try. You can find my full review of the set here.
6.) Sephora Collection Perfecting Cover Foundation: This is my new favorite since the lightest shade in Dior, and apparently Revlon, is too dark for me in the winter. This Sephora foundation is reasonably priced and has medium coverage. It lasts all day and looks very natural.
7.) Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Gel Cleanser and Buffing Beads: When used together, these will make your face look younger and brighter. My pores also look smaller. It aslo helped prevent my face from breaking out, but really did not do much to heal the current blemishes. Once I get those taken care of, I will go back to the PTR products. The Buffing Beads are very gentle and can be used daily. Both products contain small amounts of glycolic and salicylic acid along with botanical ingredients. So these are effective without being harmful to sensitive skin. The gel cleanser is even more effective when used with the Clarisonic, and as an added bonus, it smells like peaches rather than medicinal.
