Product Review: Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash.

I had a really bad month last month in terms of my facial complexion and breakouts. So I decided to invest in a higher-end cleanser again (as I have worked out that my skin doesn't respond so well to most drugstore cleansers).

Into Kit I went for a gander at all the gorgeous skincare products and brands they had to offer, and I walked out with the lovely Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash (I barely ever make it out of Kit empty handed).

What they say:When it comes to faces with dry and oily places it takes a clever cleanser to balance the two. This gentle, frothy face wash carefully does both jobs without cancelling each other out. Broad Leaf Kelp Extract discourages excess oil production, while Wheat Protein balances and protects dry prone zones and Tourmaline actually makes water wetter to more easily disperse dirt and sebum down the drain. There’s also aromatic Bergamot, Spearmint and Lavender to add pleasure to the process. Skin fees comfortably refreshes after cleansing, never tight, pulled or parched.Origin’s directions for use:
Squeeze small amount into palm, add tepid water to lather. Swirl over skin, steering clear of eyes. Rinse thoroughly. Great for A.M and P.M cleansing. How I use my Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash:First, I Pop a pea sized amount onto the back of my hand. I then put a small bit onto my forehead, chin, and both cheeks and cleanse with my Clarisonic.

Product Review: Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash.

Pros:

  • Foams up into fluffy dreaminess on the face. Hello Heaven!
  • Effectively removes makeup and pollutants of the day.
  • It smells de-licioius! The minty goodness is super refreshing.
  • The tiniest (pea-sized) amount goes a long way.
  • My breakouts are all gone! My skin has really cleared up since using this (obviously, results will vary for each individual).
  • Made with certified organic ingredients and 100% natural oils and is paraben-free.

Cons:

  • As for Origin's claim Skin fees comfortably refreshes after cleansing, never tight, pulled or parched; I have to say that I disagree with this one. Even though my skin feels super clean, I am often left feeling desperate to get my toner and moisturiser onto my face to feel hydrated again (not to worry though, Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash doesn't strip the skin).
  • You can't use this around the eye area.

Despite the cons, I would repurchase the Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash in a heartbeat!

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash retails for $29 AUD (150ml). Grab yours from Kit, Mecca Maxima, and other retailers that stock Origins.
