Product Review: L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation (Fresh Beige Vs Sun Beige)

By Dressmeupbuttercup @hazelsalcedo

Summer for me means spending the day in the beach, basking in the glory of the sun, and enjoying the sand in between my toes. Since March this year I had gone to 3 beaches (2 of which are surfing destination here in Luzon haha hashtag sumu-surfergirl na ako ngayon, lols!) and boy did I enjoy each trip! As a result, my skin became darker!

Here’s my bare, tanned face! I guess I really wanted to have that “summer glow” which is why I conveniently forgot to reapply sunscreen all throughout our Ilocos trip last week! Pero mukha namang walang glow, #fail hahaha!

I didn’t regret getting tanner as each trip went by, and it’s actually perfect timing cos I was able to use and abuse my latest foundation from L’Oreal. They have new shades to their True Match Super Blendable Makeup line. I was given Fresh Beige W4.5 and Sun Beige W6 to try.

Loreal True Match Foundation Review

True Match uses patented color technology to precisely match skin tone and undertone and then combine the two into one shade to perfectly suit your skin’s color. Here in the Philippines they have an astonishing 15 shades to choose from! It’s also suitable for all skin types.

During the product launch last month, I was told that I’m medium skin tone with warm undertone and that Fresh Beige and Sun Beige are perfect matches for me. I’ll do a comparison review for you to see how big or small the difference between the two shades. This post is especially helpful for those with similar skin tone/undertone as mine.

Let’s start with Fresh Beige first!

I didn’t bother swatching it at the back of my hand cos foundation SHOULD be swatched on the jawline to see if it will blend flawlessly. It’s worth noting that this liquid foundation is easy to work with and it doesn’t cake. After application, it feels like second skin. It has light to medium coverage which means it’s still recommended to use concealer if you have blemishes or skin imperfections to hide.

Here’s me with Fresh Beige applied on my face.

Now let’s move to Sun Beige W6

This shade is also recommended for medium skin tone and warm undertone users.

Here’s Sun Beige W6 magically disappearing on my face once blended! Just like Fresh Beige W4.5, this also doesn’t cake and it feels like second skin after application.

I honestly think Sun Beige W6 suits me better even though Fresh Beige W4.5 matches me too. I find Fresh Beige to have a hint of yellow which I didn’t like.

Here’s my final look! I decided to go out with the Sun Beige W6 on my face and with just blush on my cheeks and coral lipstick. I wanted to highlight my tanned skin so I didn’t use eyeshadow/eyeliner anymore. What do you think? I love how it looks natural!

But what I don’t love is the packaging. I hope it comes in a pump-up type or in a squeezable tube because the current bottle type packaging has a wide opening which makes it quite messy when dispensing the foundation. I have to tilt it in such a way that the whole content wouldn’t pour out completely. But other than that, no major issue!

L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable foundation has ultra-pure formula which contains no oils, fragrances, or pore-clogging fillers. Visit the L’Oreal counters nearest you to find your true match!

PRICE: Php899 for 30ml bottle
