Ciao everyone,
In today’s wedding series post, I’m going to show you how to make these adorable flower ball bouquets (also called kissing balls for some reason). The bridesmaids in my sisters wedding all carried these and I had fun making them with my sister. It’s an interesting alternative to regular bouquets and if you use fake flowers, you can keep them as a pretty decoration. In fact, you can actually make them just as decorations for your house if you’re girly and love flowers. I would. 
In case you missed the previous posts in this series, I’ve showed you how to make a handmade pretty wedding album, how to make treasure chest bridal shower favors, how to make a gorgeous brooch flower bouquet, and how to make a bridal shower umbrella. Anyway, here’s what you’ll need and how to make one (or many) of these for yourself.
Supplies (All of them can be found at a craft store like A.C. Moore or Michael’s):
- Lots of Pretty flowers in your choice of colors (These we actually found at a dollar store!)
- Sparkly (preferably) Tulle
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Glitter or Spray Glitter (If you’re like me and prefer that everything sparkles)
- Tiny pins
- A Big Styrofoam Ball (size depends on how big you want them of course)
Steps:
- Cut (or if they’re like the flowers I got, just pull the tops off) the stems and eaves from your flowers. You just need the flower part and a tiny bit of stem to stick in the ball.
- Cut a piece of the tulle and fold it in half. You want it to be long enough to either hold (if for a wedding) or hang from somewhere (if for decoration). Use your judgment as to how long you need it to be. Pin the end into the top of the ball. Add some hot glue for extra security.
- Begin placing a bit of glue onto each end of the tiny stem part that’s left (to secure it), one by one. Then stick each flower into the styrofoam ball right after glue is applied. Continue gluing and sticking each flower into place however you like. You make want to go around and do a row of one color then another, or do it more randomly, like we did for these.
- Add some pins anywhere you feel needs extra securing or flowers seem loose.
- To make the flowers sparkly, either use spray glitter or paint on regular glitter using a paint brush dipped into glue then glitter.
Tada!! Aren’t they pretty?!
