Preparing Your Skin for Fall

By Lamamma @LAmamma1

Autumn is on its way. After a lovely long summer, most of us are looking forward to Halloween; pumpkin spiced lattes, hot chocolates by the fireplace, dark afternoons and gorgeous decorations. But, while fall and winter have their advantages, the colder weather isn’t great for your skin. Cold temperatures, harsh winds, and wet weather can leave your skin dry, cracked and sore. Many of us also eat poorly over the colder months. Fast food, warming winter stews and comforting meals, can lead to spotty breakouts and greasy skin. So, in no time you can find yourself with dry cheeks, a spotty chin, and uneven tone. To protect yourself from these unwelcome developments, start preparing your skin now so that it’s soft and healthy all year around.

Watch What You Put into Your Body

What you put into your body has a massive effect on your skin and overall appearance. So, be careful. Start with a deep detox from Passyourtest.com, to flush out any toxins and give you a clean start. Then, make some changes to your diet. Start eating more fruit and veg, and avoid fatty, greasy foods.

What you drink is in some ways even more important. After your detox is complete, drinking eight glasses of water a day can help to keep toxins out. Cut down on sugary drinks, alcohol, and caffeine, and start drinking more water. This won’t just keep your skin healthy and youthful. It will also help your body to function at its best and protect you from winter bugs and coughs and colds.

Cleanse

A detox will help flush toxins out of your body, but it won’t keep them off your skin. Every day we put on makeup, and then go out into the world, where our skin is battered with germs, bacteria, and pollutants. Sleep is your skins chance to get a decent rest. But, only if you cleanse first. Make sure you remove your make up every night and wash your face thoroughly before you get into bed. You should also wash your bedding regularly.

It’s also important that you clean your makeup brushes and sponges regularly. They collect bacteria, which multiplies and grows if left uncleaned. We then wipe this all over our faces. People have even become unwell thanks to dirty makeup.

Moisturize

After cleansing, every morning and night, take the time to moisturize, to restore hydration and moisture after your busy day. Use a gentle facial cream, as well as an all over body moisturizer.

Exercise

Exercise is a great way to boost your skin tone. It helps your circulation, getting more blood to your skin. This helps it stay healthy and fight off infections, while also keeping it glowing and bright.

Get into a Routine

Cleansing, toning, and moisturizing are great. But, the occasional good skin day won’t be enough. You need to make it a part of your daily routine. Take a few minutes every morning and night to give your skin what it needs.

Wrap Up

As soon as the weather starts to turn, wrap up warm. Wear a hat, cover as much of your face as you can with a scarf and wear gloves to look after your hands. Just make sure you wash these often.
