Pregnancy Week 36: Last Hurrahs

By Thepracticalmommy2 @PracticalMommy2
I'm down to the final days of this pregnancy: 16 to be exact. This past weekend we had our last hurrahs, just in case this stubborn little baby decides to make an early appearance.
As my birthday is the day after the scheduled c-section, we decided to celebrate early by going to our favorite hibachi with family and friends. Of course, we thought I'd go into labor that very night, but no such luck.
The next night my grandfather suggested that we all go to our favorite pizza place for some pizza and wings (can't imagine why I'm gaining weight this week...) with the extended family. Our large bunch went and enjoyed what hopefully will be my last pizza place visit for a while.
And you would think spicy wings would start labor. Nope.
At least we were able to spend some quality time with everybody before the baby comes and I am limited in taking him in public. I know so many people who bring out their babies in the first few weeks of life, but with the flu season being so bad this year, I'm a little leery about bringing him out for the first six weeks. Of course we'll go on walks and visit family, but that's about it for a while.
I have another doctor's appointment on Thursday. Perhaps by then this little man will want to come out?
We'll see....
