Popcorn Porcorn and More Popcorn

By Greengirl @GrinGarl
Popcorn is probably the go to midnight snack around here. Hubby is the popcorn manager. We tried different types, including the microwave popcorn, bought an electric popcorn machine but in the end we got back to popping in on the stove.Hubby’s the one that knows how to do it just right. He can eyeball how much oil/butter is needed for a cup or two, maybe even three, of popped kettle corn. We were happy with our homemade popcorn we’d rarely consider buying already popped kettle corn.Few days ago we did some popcorn test testing after receiving a couple of popcorn bags from  J. Drizzle Gourmet Popcorn.Popcorn Porcorn and more PopcornThe first bag I opened was the Salted Caramel Chocolate Drizzle. I love salted caramel and I knew I’m gonna fell in love with it. The rich salted caramel is amazing on its own but add drizzled chocolate to it and you have yourself a salted sweet treat you don’t want to share. I told hubby about 10 times that’s not good just so I can enjoy the whole bag all by myself. (I’m pretty mean sometimes). Hubby’s not into sweet and salty so this one wasn’t his favorite although he agreed it was good.Popcorn Porcorn and more PopcornMoving on, we opened the Island Coconut. The smell of coconut was like a drug because as soon as hubby opened the bag I saw myself on a Caribbean beach, sunbathing with a piña colada by my side.Getting back to reality I knew I needed an reason to keep hubby away from the popcorn. Unfortunately it was too late. While I was day-dreaming of my Caribbean vacation hubby ran away with the bag … I had to beg to give me some so I can take a picture.Popcorn Porcorn and more Popcorn Next day we tried the 2 remaining flavors. Strawberry Cheesecake and Pizza Time. The Strawberry Cheesecake was good, a little too sweet in my opinion and I would have named it Strawberry Shortcake Cookies instead. They reminded me of iced strawberry cookies. But as we all know, taste buds are different from on person to another. And talking about taste bugs, I have to admit something that might come shocking to most of you : I rarely eat pizza. It’s not that I dislike it but the tomato sauce gives me heartburn so I try to avoid eating it unless is tomato-free.I have to say I didn’t taste the Pizza Time Popcorn so I can’t give you an honest review. Now, hubby loves pizza and thought the pizza flavored popcorn was as good as the coconut chocolate one. You gotta trust the guy if you’re a pizza lover too.J. Drizzle Gourmet Popcorn has also lots other flavors. From savory to sweet I’m sure you’ll find something for you.*Disclosure : I was contacted by Michael Bednaz on behalf of J. Drizzle Gourmet Popcorn after applying for a review on Business2Blogger. Later I was provided 4 bags of popcorn to review. Images and opinions and all mine.
