Polish Days - To Boldly Go

By Marijonails @marijonails
Hi fellow nail polish lovers!!
It's time for Polish Days again!  This month the theme is "To Boldly Go."  Since I'm not a trekkie, I had to actually look up this term.  I knew the theme was space related, but I wanted to know where the term came from.
For this theme, I decided to do a Galaxy manicure.  I'd never tried it and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do so.  Here's how it turned out.

To do this mani, I used polishes by Neener Neener Nails.  There is now a galaxy kit available in the store called To The Moon which gives you everything you need to create a galaxy manicure.

Polish Days - To Boldly Go

Cosmetic sponge, mini white polish, dark blue polish with fine glitter, glitter top coat, mini cranberry polish

I started off by applying two coats of the blue polish.  It's a jelly packed with microglitter that reminds me of the night sky.  It applies really well and is really pretty on its own.

I then used the cosmetic sponge to dab on the white polish.

I also used the sponge to add the cranberry polish.

Finally, I added the glitter top coat.  It has large and medium gold hex glitters and applies very well.

I was so in love with this manicure.  I love the sparkle that came from both the blue and the glitter top coat.  I couldn't stop staring at my nails.  I honestly was nervous to try this type of manicure before, but this kit made it super easy!
The Galaxy Kit can be purchased online at the Neener Neener Nails' etsy shop here for $16.75.
What do you guys think of this mani?  Have you ever tried galaxy nails before?
