Pokémon Go has been immensely popular game. Its popularity can be gauged by the fact that it this Augmented Reality based game was just released around a month back and it has millions of people playing the game already.
Niantic labs had been busy working out releases for countries where the game is not yet officially live. They’ve launched in 15 more countries in Asia and Oceania: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau.
However, Niantic has not released Pokémon Go officially in India, China and Korea,three major mobile and gaming markets. Releasing the game in these markets will give a huge boost to the already super engaging game, however, Niantic is certainly going to be busy monitoring its server uptime.
Pokémon Go, however, unlike any other game has high level of security issues with mobile regulations and the game’s reliance on Google Maps are the challenges obstructing a launch. Although the game is unofficially available and that has been a major reason of a server downtime.
Recently, Authorities in Iran have banned the Pokémon Go app because of unspecified “security concerns”. According to a report by the BBC, Iran has officially become the first country to ban Pokémon Go.
We really hope that Niantic finds a way soon to release the game officially in India and other places. In the meanwhile, if you’re playing Pokémon Go, please be careful of your surroundings and buy a portable battery pack to ensure an uninterrupted gaming experience.
