Yara Shahidi and her mother, Keri Shahidi attended The Hollywood Reporter Next Gen 2017 celebration at Poppy, Wednesday night in L.A.

The actress was celebrated for being one of The Hollywood Reporters (THR) rising stars 35 and under.

The star of the new Freeform show, Grown-ish wore a Paco Rabanne Fall 2017 RTW pants and top, APM Monaco earrings, Kat Kim ring and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

On the biggest problem Hollywood needs to fix, the actress/activist said:

“It does truly need to become a space for everybody. It isn’t representative of our actual world.”

The actress continued,

“I fervently believe that when we support all creative voices, it gives us some equilibrium and gives us a sense of equity.”
