Maryland Legislature’s Speaker of the House, Michael E. Busch (D-Anne Arundel) is complicating the approval of slots in Prince George’s County with his concerns that it wouldn’t be “fair” to slot owners in Anne Arundel and Baltimore for Prince George’s County to gain access to slots when other casinos are just starting their new businesses.

A rash of  7-Eleven robberies in Prince George’s County and DC have the police looking hard for the culprits.  Since October 2011, 26 7-Eleven stores have been robbed. $1000 cash reward is being offered for a tip on the identity of the Forest Heights robbery suspect.

A plaintiff group made up of students and alumni from Bowie State, Coppin State, Maryland University Eastern Shore, and Morgan State, are suing the state of Maryland for not funding their programs in the same respect as the programs at white institutions.  For 5 years, the state has refused to hear the case but today in Baltimore, the case is being heard.
