What can you do with your pooch if you CAN’T take them with you on your Spring Break trip?

DogVacay may be an option. It is a community that offers dog owners a way to travel while leaving their pooch at home with a qualified host, starting at $15/night.

With hosts across the U.S. and Canada, you can also bring your dog with you

on vacation and have him stay nearby if your hotel doesn’t allow pets.

HomeExchange.com, is a home exchange service that offers an alternative to high priced hotels.

You can stay in a dog friendly home with a pool, game room and an amazing kitchen.

There’s always a well-stocked bowl of dog biscuits in the front lobby to help canines feel at home the minute they arrive. “We recognize that many people consider their dogs to be full-fledged members of the family,” says general manager Rob LeVine, owner of Miley, a 3-year-old Australian Sheepdog. “We offer dedicated rooms just for pet owners, and our staff is always happy to recommend canine-friendly activities in the area.”

The Antlers at Vail is the “Official Dog Friendly Lodging Partner” of the GoPro Summer Mountain Games (formerly the Teva Mountain Games), June 6-9. This year they’re offering an unusual special that actually makes it cheaper to stay with your dog. During the GoPro Games, instead of charging their usual $15 pet fee, they’ll reduce your room rate by $15 if you bring your dog!
