After visiting Ayala Malls Feliz last December, I was finally able to step in this beautiful mall once again. The first time I went there was for a foodie meetup. This time I was invited to attend the Media Day of one of the newest restaurants in the mall.
Since I don't live near the area and the event starts at 2pm, I decided to go their early and have a lovely lunch with my family. The restaurant that caught our attention was Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar.
What is Peri-Peri?
Peri Peri refers to African bird's eye chilis which is a type of chili that originated from Africa. The restaurant uses this chili in their sauces. And since they are known for their Charcoal Chicken, Peri-Peri takes their preparation to a new level to ensure their diners enjoy the explosion of flavours. The Peri-Peri Chicken is trimmed of excess fat, marinated for 24 hours, and spit-fire grilled to perfection!
Take note though, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken and Sauce Bar's menu is not limited to chicken. They offer a variety of other dishes such as BBQ Back Ribs, Quesadillas, Pasta and more.
In this trip, my family and I ordered the following:
Chorizo con Queso Fondue
Plato Porco Solo (Php 215)
Peri-Peri marinated pork belly braised till tender and served with salsa gravy and java rice.
Healthy Meal 1 (Php 255)
1/4 Peri-Peri Chicken and a side salad with 2 pcs. quesadilla.
Shrimp Aglio Olio (Php 260)
Perfectly cooked pasta tossed in garlic infused olive oil and topped with plump shrimps and parmesan cheese.
How was the food? They were all great. My favourite is the Healthy Meal 1 and Shrimp Aglio Olio. I couldn't pick one because they're both delicious and satifying. If you're craving for pasta, go for the Shrimp Aglio Olio. But if you want to enjoy a full but healthy meal, then go for their Healthy Meals. They have three choices but I love quesadilla so I chose this.
What about the Chorizo con Queso Fondue and Plato Porco? The fondue was okay but I wasn't able to enjoy it because the meal I ordered (Healthy Meal) was enough. The Plato Porco, on the other hand, is flavourful BUT it was not tender making it difficult to enjoy.
Despite that one problem, we still enjoyed our lunch. The staff were attentive and accommdating; not to mention, courteuous and helpful towards the elderly. *shoutout to the staff members who were very kind to my abuelita (grandma)!
So will we comeback? That depends. We're really far from that area. We will likely visit a different branch, a closer one. Hopefully, there won't be any hiccups.
